Athletic Permission Form

On the Feast Day of St. Nicholas, December 6th, students celebrated a centuries-old tradition of setting out  their shoes with money inside of them for the poor. St. Nicholas comes by unseen and collects the money, leaving a treat for the children. At St. Patrick School, this tradition is carried on by the students setting their shoes with money outside of their classroom, and then going inside the classroom to watch a movie. Shortly, a bell is heard ringing. As they run out to the hallway, they are greeted with treats of popcorn and candy. Their money has been collected and they put their shoes back on and finish their movie, enjoying their treats. The funds raised this year were sent to Hope of the Poor, a mission that serves Mexico City.

Take a look at their website to see their mission of helping others:

Tree of Love Project and Box of Joy Outreach Program

Please see the video from Box of Joy to see the impact you have on sending a child a bit of Christmas Christian Cheer, a program that has been supported by St. Patrick School for several years.

St. Patrick School and Church participate in the Cross Catholic Outreach Program to supply a child in a developing country with a Box of Joy - a Christmas gift of the child's very own, perhaps the only Christmas gift the child has ever received. Click the logo at left to view  a video explaining the project. St  Patrick's sent over 150 boxes this year!
