Greetings, I need to begin with a little bit of an introduction. I am Fr. Bernard Kimminau, the new leader of St. Patrick Parish and School. I would like to begin by once again thanking Fr. Gary Brethour for his excellent leadership and service over the past 23 years. I am truly thankful and grateful for all that he did to improve and serve the needs of the school. I will be taking time to find my way forward with the help of our Principal and staff to help guide the school.

I come to you in my 28th year of priesthood. I have served as pastor at St. George in Morse Bluff (5 years), St. Mary in Dawson (7 years), St. Mary in David City (9 years) and St. James in Curtis (4 years). I grew up in Superior, NE. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The sisters all live in the desert of AZ. My brothers are in Nebraska – one in North Platte the other Omaha. My mother is currently in Deshler.

I am excited about being here and working with a school again. I ask for your patience while I get my feet under me. The start of a new assignment always takes a little extra time and energy. If you have not noticed, I will bring my own strengths and weaknesses to the game. It’s gonna be work, but work can be fun….if it brings us closer to Christ and to each other.
